Hugo Barreca, J.D. is President and Chief Operating Officer at National Standard Finance, LLC. Mr. Barreca is an accomplished financial and legal expert responsible for day to day management of the firm, strategic planning, contract structuring, legal compliance and portfolio management of National Standard's managed investment entities. His corporate experience includes senior positions with Time Inc. and The New York Times. He has also held the Chief Financial officer position in two publicly traded companies as well as in several privately held companies. As a corporate attorney Mr. Barreca has been involved in the structuring of complex business and various types of corporate investment arrangements, advising on company formation, stock plans, business plans, financial forecasts, debt financings and equity investments over his multi-decade professional career.
Hugo brings more than 25 years of collective experience to National Standard across corporate management, finance and business law. He holds an MBA from New York University, a JD from the Fordham School of Law, a Master's Degree in Public Policy from The City University of New York, and is currently completing his Doctoral Degree in Political Science.
Hugo is privileged to serve as President of The Double R Foundation, a private, non-profit grant making foundation in New York City, and serves on the Board of several non-profit organizations, including the Design Trust for Public Space, The Film Forum, and The Brooklyn Youth Music Project. Hugo is fluent in English and French. Mr. Barreca is admitted to the New York and Connecticut Bars and resides in New York City.
