Mark Hill is Senior Director and Head of project underwriting and investor relations at National Standard and plays a vital role in the firm's day to day activity. These responsibilities include due diligence, underwriting and lease pricing of transactions in addition to managing relations and deal management with more than 50 institutional investors including life insurance companies, pension funds, global investment banks and financial institutions. Previously over the past 25 plus years in the commercial finance industry, Mark has served in similar capacities at various world class financial institutions including NorthMarq Capital, BB&T, Bank of America, J.I. Kislak Mortgage and First Savings of Houston. Mark was also formerly a Federal Bank Examiner for the U.S. Government, a controller for a New York Stock Exchange listed corporation, and worked in KPMG's bank advisory practice group.
Mr. Hill has directly closed over 200 lease based finance transactions with a value of more than U.S. $2.6 billion of real estate lease based finance transactions. Mark Hill is recognized as a leading authority, expert and dealmaker within the industry of single tenant lease financing and investing. Mr. Hill holds B.S. degrees in Finance and Accounting from Kansas University and an M.S. in Accounting and Internal Audit from Florida International University.
Mark is a Certified Public Accountant. He has authored a number of industry books and articles on various industry topics, is a frequent industry speaker at conferences, and has served on the CMBS World Editorial Board. He is a past Chair of the Freddie Mac Advisory Council, the MBA Asset Administration and Education Committees, and the Certified Mortgage Bankers Society.
